Roasted Broccoli Purée

Roasted Broccoli Purée

Broccoli has a slightly bitter taste, so it is good to give your baby early on in the weaning process. This will help develop your baby’s taste buds to accept bitter food. By roasting the broccoli instead of steaming or boiling, it gives the purée a nice creamy flavour.

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Makes: 1oz/4m x 6

Ingredients:
1 head of broccoli, cut into florets

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 190°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Place the broccoli florets on a baking tray.
3. Cook for 7-10 minutes.
4. Transfer to a blender and puree for about a minute, adding water to achieve the desired consistency.
