Here at Mummy Cooks the environment and the impact our products have on the environment is something we take very seriously. We are making a conscious effort to reduce our impact on the planet as much as we can.
The advice we give parents about batch cooking and portioning food correctly ultimately leads to less food waste in a household. It is more important than ever to try and reduce our food waste. With your children growing and developing it is the perfect opportunity to instill good habits; 'encourage by doing' to ensure they learn how to reduce their environmental impact. This will develop into good habits for life!
Our Mummy Cooks weaning and portion pots are reusable and recyclable and where possible we look to stock products made from recycled materials such as our lunch and insulated food bags.
As a business we aim to be single use plastic free by the end of 2020 and as we continue to grow the number of products that Mummy Cooks provides we will be looking to source products that have as little impact on the environment as possible.
In cooking and demonstrations Siobhan will always use locally sourced, Irish food products where they are available.
