      our philosophy

Siobhan’s philosophy is simple: Cook for family, Adapt for baby. Siobhan believes the path to raising a happy, healthy and adventurous eater stems from introducing family meals from the start, and creating a happy eating environment so your child feels comfortable and encouraged to try a variety of foods.

      Raising happy and healthy eaters

We want to change the way children eat for the rest of their lives

      About us

Siobhan started her weaning classes as a way of helping other mums to establish healthy eating habits and good nutrition for their babies. As word spread, so did demand and soon she was running a series of tailored classes to meet the nutritional and developmental needs of different ages - from baby’s first solids to healthy eating habits for toddlers.

Helping other mums and dads embrace healthy eating is at the heart of our passion for Mummy Cooks. Through Mummy Cooks, our aim is to give mums and dads the confidence, skills and know-how needed to raise healthy and adventurous eaters, who, in turn, will have a lifelong appreciation for good food.

What started out as a cookery class from Siobhan’s kitchen in 2013 is now an award-winning global business selling a range of online courses, feeding accessories and three published recipe books.

      About Us

      our journey

Siobhan Berry founded Mummy Cooks as a cookery school to teach parents how to wean their babies. Her fuss-free and relaxed approach to feeding quickly made her classes a popular must-attend class few new mothers in Ireland.

As her following grew, Siobhan started her website to share her advice and recipes to a larger audience. Siobhan began offering products on her site that she had used herself while weaning her second daughter. Her award-winning weaning pots are designed to support parents in the weaning journey through portioning and batch cooking solutions. Soon after, she added child, toddler, and adult portion pots to the range.

As Mummy Cooks grew, Siobhan saw the need for time-saving solutions in the kitchen, while still being able to make homemade food for her family. Batch-cooking revolutionized the way that she fed her family. By preparing healthy meals and freezing them, she could save time in the kitchen on busy nights and still feed her family nutritious homemade food.

Food Flasks were introduced in 2016 to provide an easy way for children to take more vegetables in their school lunches. In 2018, Siobhan released her first recipe book, Baby and Family, a detailed, step-by-step guide for parents that includes hundreds of recipes and invaluable advice for raising happy eaters.

      Siobhan Berry

I have always had a passion for healthy food and loved to get into the kitchen as often as I could when growing up. I come from a long line of entrepreneurs so business is definitely in the blood. I started off my career as a portfolio manager but had a dream of someday owning my own business.

Along came Ashleigh, my first daughter and after struggling with breastfeeding I found I had more control over the weaning process and really enjoyed the experience. The sheer excitement of when food was coming to her or her little scrunched up face when she wasn’t so fond of a particular food. Weaning is a journey and one I loved experiencing with Ashleigh.

I started Mummy Cooks almost 5 years later after I had my second daughter Jessica. Initially, it was a weaning class that I ran from my kitchen and then grew into an online business selling accessories throughout Ireland and beyond. To this day I have never forgotten why I started the business and that is to help parents as they embark on their feeding journey with their child.
