Baby Maeve: 5 months 1 week
Started Solid food:  Week 1
Meals/Portion size: Midday Meal, 4-6 Months Weaning Pot
New Foods: Carrot Purée
Bottle per day: 5 x 7oz

"We have just started Maeve on solid foods and first off we tried some puréed carrots. Mummy Cooks had advised us to choose a root vegetable and preferably one that is sweet. So Maeve did really well with her first spoons as you can see from our video above.

Towards the end she begins to swallow the purée a little better. She was not phased by the experience and quite enjoyed the attention. As for me I was continually questioning myself as to how much to put on spoon and how to get it off the spoon without annoying her. So putting everything I had learned from the Mummy Cooks Weaning Class into practice we managed it in the end. I relaxed enough to enjoy the experience and Maeve was clearly enjoying it too.

We will stick to one meal per day for the rest of the week but try a few more vegetables and some fruit along the way."
