Corn on the cob is not only a delicious and nutritious food it also makes an excellent natural teether for your baby. Its firm texture is ideal for soothing sore gums while helping little ones explore new tastes and develop self-feeding skills.
While fresh corn is a great choice when in season, don’t worry if it’s hard to find. Frozen corn works just as well, and you can even buy pre-cooked cobs in vacuum-sealed packaging that are ready in just a few minutes. As your baby becomes more confident with texture, you can leave the husk partially on to make gripping easier and encourage self-feeding.
