This recipe is a personal favourite when I know I have an early start to my day. It's quick and easy to put together the night before, and saves valuable time in the morning. Make it up in portion sizes for baby and family. Having a delicious breakfast couldn't be easier.
These overnight oats are also perfect served in a 6oz pot for adults or a 3oz pot for your child.
Makes: 1 Adult portion
50g porridge oats
50g full fat natural yoghurt
50g frozen mixed berries
- Layer each pot with yoghurt, then mixed berries and oats.
- Repeat the layers until you have filled your pots.
- Refrigerate overnight. Serve in the morning topped with fruits, nuts and seeds of your choice.
- For your baby, mash the berries with the yoghurt and soft oats to serve.
Weaning and Storage
6-7 months - Include mashed banana or fruit on top
7-8 months - Grate apple or pear to add texture
8-9 months - Chopped Fruit as a topping
9-12 months – Chopped Fruit as a topping
