Black Friday is a great time to find deals on cooking appliances and gadgets. When shopping for kitchen appliances, it's important to consider if this is something you will use for preparing food for your young baby and further along for feeding the family. Keep in mind available kitchen space, and budget. Here are some popular and highly rated cooking appliances and gadgets to consider looking for on Black Friday:
Follow Siobhan on Instagram over the weekend where she will be sharing the deals on offer. Check out last year's post on popular Baby Appliances during the Black Friday Sale. This year I have my eye on a new knife set and some non-stick cookware.
Instant Pot: An Instant Pot is a multicooker that has tons of functions, including pressure cooking, slow cooking, rice cooking, steaming, warming and sautéing. I use a Ninja Foodie myself and love it. It's clunky, however if you have space in your pantry then keep it there.
Air Fryer: Air fryers use hot air to cook food, providing a healthier alternative to deep frying. They can crisp up foods like French fries and chicken wings without using much oil. They also cook the food much faster than turning on the open to preheat and cook through. My Ninja Foodie has this function which is great however if I wanted to slow cook and say airfry at the same time I can’t. For a baby you won’t need an air fryer as it would make the food too crispy and sharp.
Blender: High-performance blenders are great for making smoothies, soups, sauces, and even nut butter. Look for blenders with powerful motors and durable blades. Also great for when starting out the weaning process.
Food Flask: Insulated Food Flasks are a great investment for carrying hot or cold meals - whether you have a school going child and want to prepare healthy lunches, or you have a baby and want to bring their finger food or purees on the go. For babies and children a 300ml flask is the perfect size. For teenagers and adults select a 450ml flask
Food Processor: Food processors are versatile kitchen gadgets that can chop, slice, shred, and mix ingredients. They are essential for tasks like making pie crusts, pesto, and chopping vegetables when batch cooking. A food processor is a long-term investment so my advice is to buy well and you will have it forever.
Stand Mixer: Stand mixers are ideal for baking enthusiasts. They can mix, knead, and whip ingredients effortlessly, saving you time and effort in the kitchen. Also great for shredding chicken and making pizza dough.
Espresso Machine or Coffee Maker: If you're a coffee lover, investing in a high-quality espresso machine or coffee maker can enhance your daily caffeine fix. We are coffee lovers in this house and I invested in a Sage Coffee machine a couple of years ago. I can never go back to instant!
Non-Stick Cookware Set: Quality cookware is essential for efficient cooking. Look for non-stick pans and pots that are durable and easy to clean.
Knife Set: A good set of knives is a must-have in any kitchen. Look for high-quality, sharp knives that make food preparation easier and safer.
Food Storage Containers: Invest in a variety of food storage containers sizes. For storing left-overs in the fridge or your batch cooked meals. Check out our range of portion pots here
Remember to compare prices, read reviews, and check the features of the products you're interested in before making a purchase. Additionally, consider the warranty and customer service offered by the manufacturer or retailer. Happy shopping!
