One of the best tricks to keep apples fresh while traveling is surprisingly simple and effective. Here’s how you can prevent those apple slices from turning brown:

  1. Peel and Slice: Start by peeling and cutting your apples into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Saltwater Soak: Submerge the apple slices in a bowl of salted water. Let them sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. Rinse and Dry: After soaking, rinse the slices with tap water and dry them off with a paper towel.
  4. Store Properly: Place the apple slices in an airtight portion pot. For added freshness, store these pots in our insulated cooler bag.

  2. Boil and Store: On the morning of your trip, prepare your pasta and fill your food flask with boiling water.
  3. Heat and Mix: Take the frozen marinara sauce out of the freezer, heat it up, and mix it with the pasta.
