Avocado and Banana Puree

With banana and avocado, this puree is a perfect baby food for your weaning tot. Subtle sweetness from the banana combined with healthy fats from the avocado makes for a creamy sweet treat your weaning baby will love! 

This recipe is perfect to prepare in batches or take as a weaning baby food on the go. Bring your banana and avocado along in our Starter Weaning Set to prepare right before serving. Offer some Homemade Oatcakes as a finger food for dipping with this puree as an ideal baby led weaning snack.

Cook time: No cooking required
Portions: 6 x 30ml / 1oz

1 Ripe Banana (sweeter if ripe)
1 Avocado, cut in half and pitted 


  1. Peel the banana and mash with a fork in a bowl.
  2. Spoon out the avocado flesh and add to the bowl.
  3. Mash together until mixed well.

Weaning and Storage
4-6 months – Blended to Runny Puree
6-7 months - Smooth and slightly thicker puree, no lumps
7-8 months - Thicker puree with increased texture
8-9 months - Minced and mashed with soft lumps.
9-12 months – Minced and finely chopped.
