Bagels are usually only served freshly toasted. But I have a genius way of keeping them warm in our food flasks but not letting them go soggy. Check out the method below. Why not change it up each time by choosing a different combination of spread and toppings.
1 x bagel of choice
Choose a spread:
Butter
Nut butter
Jam
Cream Cheese
Add a topping:
Fruit; banana, appleVegetable; tomato, avocado, cucumber
Meat; salami, ham, chicken
Fish; smoked salmon, tinned tuna
Cheese; Cheddar, Swiss, ricotta
- Heat your food flask with boiling water for 5 minutes. Cut your bagel in half and pop it into the toaster.
- Using your spread of choice spread a thin layer onto the bagel. Add your toppings of choice. Cut into quarters before adding to the food flask.
- Remove the water from the flask and clean dry by using a paper towel. This is an important step so that your bagel does not become soggy. Add in your bagel and enjoy later.
