Homemade BBQ Sauce
Learn how to make an easy, homemade, child friendly BBQ sauce that's perfect to prepare in advance and freeze until use. It's the ultimate condiment for your next BBQ party! Delicious and simple to make, you'll never buy the store-bought version again. 
Simple to prepare, your kids and the whole family will love it.

Cook time: 30 minutes
Makes: 4 Adult portions

Ingredients
1 cup of tomato passata
½ cup honey
1 tablespoon maple syrup
¼ cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons tomato puree
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon fish sauce
½ teaspoon ground paprika
¼ teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder

Method

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add all the ingredients and bring to a boil. 
  2. Reduce the heat, and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to thicken the sauce.
  3. Allow the sauce to cool to room temperature prior to transferring it to your Portion Pots and into the refrigerator. 
  4. Refrigerate for up to a week or store in your freezer for up to 3 months

Weaning and Storage
Not suitable for babies under 12 months due to the addition of honey.
