Homemade Curry Paste
This homemade Rogan Josh curry paste is tasty and so versatile. So easy to do, and great to have in the fridge for whenever you crave a curry dish.

It is a great family friendly curry paste; simply use it in our delicious Sweet Potato and Chickpea Curry for a tasty meal your weaning baby will love.

Cook time: 3-4 minutes
Makes: 2 x 6oz portions

Ingredients
2 cloves garlic
1 thumb-sized piece fresh root ginger
75g roasted peppers
1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons garam masala
1 teaspoon turmeric
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons tomato puree
1 fresh red chilli
1 small bunch fresh coriander
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground coriander

Method

  1. Place all of the dried spices in a large pan and heat over a low heat for 3-4 minutes, tossing occasionally.
  2. Add all of the ingredients to your blender.
  3. Pulse on high until combined.
Weaning and Storage
6-7 months - Smooth and slightly thicker puree, no lumps
7-8 months - Thicker puree with increased texture
8-9 months - Minced and mashed with soft lumps.
9-12 months – Minced and finely chopped.
