Easy Baby Muesli Recipe: Quick, No-Cook Breakfast for Weaning Babies (6 Months+)

This simple, homemade Baby Muesli recipe is a delicious and highly nutritious breakfast, perfect for your weaning tot. It’s an ideal way to introduce complex textures and energy-rich ingredients.

Soaking the mix for a few hours or overnight gives it a wonderful, smooth, and creamy texture that young babies love.

 

Why This Muesli is the Perfect Baby Breakfast:

Our muesli is so versatile and filling! You can easily adapt it each morning to introduce a variety of fruits, like grated apple, banana, mixed berries, or even your favorite fruit purée.

  • Age Suitability: Suitable for babies from six months of age (please follow current weaning guidelines).

  • Gluten Note: This breakfast contains Gluten. Gluten can be safely added to your baby's diet from six months of age. Please ensure you follow the latest recommended guidelines for gluten introduction.

 

Ingredients for Homemade Baby Muesli

This recipe requires no cooking! You can blend a batch and store it for up to two months.

  • Makes: 5 x Baby Portions

  • Ingredients:

    • 50g Porridge Oats

    • 1 Weetabix biscuit

    • 1 tablespoon desiccated coconut

 

Quick Method for Preparation and Storage

  1. Place all the ingredients (Porridge Oats, Weetabix, desiccated coconut) in a food processor and blend to a fine powder.

  2. Store the blended muesli powder in our portion pots for up to two months.

  3. To Serve: Soak the muesli powder in milk (breast milk, formula, or whole milk, as appropriate for your baby's age) for at least 30 minutes, but preferably overnight in the refrigerator.

  4. Top with grated apple and mixed berries for added texture and nutrients.

 

Weaning Tip: Texture Progression

This recipe can be adapted to follow your baby’s weaning stage:

  • 6-7 Months: Serve soaked as a smooth, creamy purée.

  • 8+ Months: Serve soaked and topped with finely grated or soft chopped fruit (banana, berries) to encourage chewing.
