Healthy Halloween Hummus



This is a great recipe for getting the kids to tuck into hummus. It is rich in key nutrients and protein, so serve it in a fun way to get them excited to try it. Offer as a dip to your weaning baby with some steamed or raw vegetable sticks for a tasty baby led weaning snack your whole family can enjoy!

Cook time: No cooking required
Makes: 4 Adult portions

Ingredients
2 cans of pre-soaked chickpeas
2 cloves of garlic
1 cup tahini
½ cup water
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp dried basil
Veggies to serve

Method

  1. Add all of the ingredients to your food processor bar the water.
  2. Blitz on high until creamy, adding some water if necessary.
  3. Serve and enjoy–we tried out a fun new way of serving it coming out of our carved watermelon to entice the younger ones to give it a go!

Weaning and Storage
